Network Diagnostics

Test your connection and explore network performance

Privacy Policy

Your data is protected and used for research only

What We Collect

When you use our network diagnostics service, we collect the following information:

  • Your IP address
  • Internet Service Provider (ISP) information
  • General location (country and city level)
  • Network test results (ping latency, packet loss, MTR hop path)
  • Timestamp of when tests are performed

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect for research purposes only:

  • Analyze network performance trends across different regions
  • Identify areas with poor internet connectivity
  • Improve understanding of global network infrastructure
  • Generate aggregate statistics about network quality

Your Privacy Controls

We respect your privacy and give you control over your data:

  • Opt-out mechanism: By default, test results are stored. Uncheck the "Share test results for research purposes" box before running tests to prevent your data from being stored.
  • No personal identification: We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifying information.
  • Country-level only: Location data is aggregated at the country level only. No precise location information is stored or displayed.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties. The data is used exclusively for internal research purposes.

Data Retention

Data is retained indefinitely for research purposes. Only aggregate statistics are ever displayed publicly. Individual records are never exposed.

Summary Statistics

Our summary page displays only aggregated data:

  • Average ping times by country
  • Total test counts per country
  • Overall success rates

Countries must have at least 5 tests before appearing in the summary to prevent identification of individual users.
